The Sacramento Chapter of CalSAC will host its annual mini-conference on March 19 – 20\, 2010. The event includes hands-on interactive workshops for elementary\, middle\, and high school staff as well as program site visits. On April 7-9\, an influential group of juvenile justice leaders will come together in San Antonio\, Texas for the 2010 Blueprints for Violence Prevention Conference. The group will discuss progress in addressing youth substance abuse and violence during the past decade and explore ways of expanding the implementation of gold-standard\, evidence-based programs for youth and their families. Based on attendance from previous conferences\, approximately 1\,000 conference attendees are expected.
