The Network High School and Middle School Site Coordinator Telephone workshops offer opportunities for practitioners to learn new promising practices as well as share practices and resources with fellow practitioners at absolutely no cost. High School Site Coordinator Telephone Workshops cover a new topic the second Wednesday of every month. Middle School Site Coordinator Telephone Workshops cover a new topic on the third Wednesday of every month. Join the calls to learn from leaders in the field, share solutions to common problems, and connect with practitioners from throughout the state.

Get Connected - Join one of the Network's two new Committees
Network committee membership is a completely free way for statewide after school professionals to connect regardless of geography. Committee members have the opportunity to address common challenges, solutions, and promising practices with individuals that share their interests and focus areas. Committees also have the opportunity to inform Network staff regarding Network initiatives to support their work. Network Committee Membership is free, open to all, and subject to your availability. Professional Development Opportunity
Become a CalSAC Trainer
The CalSAC Trainer Network is a professional development and training project serving out-of-school time professionals across California. The goal of the Trainer Network is to build the training and facilitation skills of professionals in the field who, in turn, provide training to after school and school-age care program staff, volunteers and administrators. CalSAC is now accepting applications for 120 qualified candidates to become CalSAC Trainers and attend one of three 2010 Training of Trainers (ToT) Institutes happening in Southern, Northern and the Central California. The application deadline to become a CalSAC trainer is January 22, 2010. For more information, and to access the application, click here.

Team Up for Youth Seeks National Coaching Corps Director
The National Coaching Corps Director directs the state and national expansion of Team-Up for Youth’s flagship program, Coaching Corps. S/he is a senior member of the Team-Up for Youth (TUFY) staff. The successful candidate will serve as the principal creator, director, and implementer of strategies to scale Coaching Corps up statewide and nationally while building TUFY’s capacity to provide communities across the country with the tools they need to replicate Coaching Corps. S/he will use data on the impact of Coaching Corps on kids, volunteer coaches, after-school programs, and the communities they serve, to continually improve replication strategies and ensure quality control.
