On Monday October 29th, the Aspen National Commission on Social Emotional and Academic Development released Building Partnerships in support of When, Where, and How Learning Happens. This brief highlights the critical role of youth development organizations play in young people’s development, presents a framework for understanding when, where, and how youth learn (in, and out-of-school), and recommends ways for educators, policymakers, and funders to partner with youth development organizations to support young people’s growth and development. The document highlights the exemplary work that has taken place in California.
