Continuous Quality Improvement

Overview

Continuous Quality Improvement

CAN is committed to program quality and assisting programs with meeting the statutory requirement that all ASES and 21st CCLC programs engage in a continuous data-driven quality improvement process. [set forth in EC8484 (a)(2)]. The California Department of Education Expanded Learning Division (CDE_EXLD), has developed a Quality Improvement Tool template and user guide as a compliment to the Department’s Guidance for Developing and Implementing a Quality Improvement Process. The document is a resource to create and document site level continuous quality improvement (CQI) plans. The document is a resource for programs and sites to summarize assessment data and outline site level goals, objectives, and activities included in their site level CQI plan. Programs are not required to use this planning tool, it was created as an option for Expanded Learning Programs to use and keep on site to support their CQI process.
