CAN Newsletter – Celebrating Women’s History Month
March 14, 2023
Happy March and welcome to the CAN Newsletter! If you are new here, we are happy to have you join the CAN Family! CAN celebrates the incredible women and folks who identify as women – who are youth developers and community educators! The strong, courageous, creative, intelligent, resilient, and inspiring women and sheroes who go above & beyond to support youth, families, and communities in being the best they can be. We see you, we hear you, and we stand in solidarity with you!
This is an exciting quarter of the year for CAN…
- This past February we successfully convened our 2023 Site Coordinator Symposium.
- This March, we are excited to support and participate in the 2023 CA Afterschool & Summer Challenge and host the virtual 2023 Spring ELO-P Academy for CA educators
- And in April, we are honored to sponsor and participate in the 2023 BOOST Conference!
Additionally, we continue to support our field with various supports in Policy & Outreach and Equity & Quality. We look forward to closing the winter season and springing forward with the best EXL/OST programs on the westcoast!
Lastly, in our January newsletter, we invited you to join us in journaling to promote self-care. Below are a few prompts to consider this month:
- What is your greatest strength?
- Who has had the biggest impact on your life in a positive way?
- Describe your quiet spot of rest.
- What is your favorite thing to do to relax?
- What motivated you the most today?
In gratitude,
The CAN Team
