The 2024 Afterschool For All Challenge will be held on June 10th and 11th in Washington, DC.

We hope you join us on the Hill (AKA Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where Congress meets) to advocate for afterschool opportunities for youth across the country!

If you’re from California, you may be wondering “CAN, why should I go to both the California Afterschool and Summer Challenge AND the Afterschool For All Challenge?” The answer is simple. At CAN, we believe ALL youth deserve an opportunity to participate in a high-quality afterschool program, no matter your age or geographic location. It’s also important to note, in California, older youth afterschool programs are primarily funded by federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) funding. Which means, we must also advocate at the federal level!
