The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is using federal funding to implement the Behavioral Health Response and Rescue Project (BHRRP) and the California Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) Expansion Project. 

BHRRP aims to expand access to high-quality behavioral health in every California community, and the California MAT Expansion Project aims to increase access to MAT, reduce unmet treatment need, and reduce opioid overdose-related deaths.
