The California Department of Education, Expanded Learning Division is pleased to announce that the fiscal year (FY) 2020–21 After School Education and Safety, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, and the 21st Century High School After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens Program Grants will be extended until December 31, 2021.

We are working on an amendment to the Grant Award Notification (GAN) agreement for FY 2020–21. When the amended GANs are emailed to the field, we will also include additional guidance around attendance and expenditure reporting for the grant extensions. This process will not be finalized until after the Governor’s May Revision has been released.
