After school programs have been a valuable resource for many families and students for over a hundred years. In fact, many people do not even know the history and significant society impact Afterschool has. In the documentary, the History of Afterschool in America, the Temescal Associates and the How Kids Learn Foundation tell the history, it’s importance on low-income youth, contemporary practices, and the hopes for the future in after school.
