CA Community Schools Fundamentals; May 31st, 1:30-4:30 PM
Pre-Conference Meeting: The Community Schools Learning Exchange (CSLX) and the National Center for Community Schools will host a workshop that covers the implementation nuts and bolts of a community school strategy. This workshop will be great for those just beginning their learning journey around community schools, but it is of course open to all. Registration is required and space is limited.
Leveraging State Supports for Transformative Community Schools; June 1st, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pre-Conference Meeting: The California AfterSchool Network (CAN) in partnership with CSLX and the CA Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE), and Californians Together will unpack some of California’s new and existing initiatives that support inclusive and equity-centered school transformation strategies. Join us, as we discuss how some of these significant new funding opportunities can serve to ground and strengthen your community school strategy. Registration is required and space is limited.
Expanded Learning – A Critical Partner for Transformative Community Schools; June 1st, 4:45 – 6:00 PM
This breakout session will be facilitated by the CAN team and is open to all conference attendees – No Registration Required: Expanded Learning (Out-of-School Time, or OST) programs create the conditions necessary for youth to thrive. They are essential partners in community-wide approaches to promote child and family wellness and should be included in your Community School strategy. Learn more and gain resources to partner with Expanded Learning in your community.
California State Breakout; June 2nd, 3:30-5:00 PM
This breakout session is open to all California attendees – No Registration Required. With SO MUCH extraordinary community schools work happening across the state, this will be a time to connect, share, learn, and identify shared priorities for CA’s community schools agenda.
