Session #1: Creative Writing & Connection in OST

In this highly interactive webinar, participants will engage in a series of hands-on storytelling and authoring activities, all designed around using images to inspire students to write creatively and without intimidation. Join us to learn how to engage students (K-12) in a virtual OST setting and beyond, empowering them to use and share their unique creative voices. Session #3 Engaging English Learners Through Creativity

Learn to engage and inspire English Learners of all proficiency levels and boost their self-esteem! Join us for a dynamic, interactive webinar where we will share and practice several strategies that allow ELs to discover and develop their unique creative voices and encourage them to take ownership of their language acquisition. When students of all backgrounds are encouraged to use writing and speaking to express themselves in a way that is authentic to their personal experiences and cultures, the fear and intimidation around learning a new language begins to disappear. All participants will leave with easily-implementable activities, as well as digital resources and scaffolding you can use right away in virtual and in-person OST programs!
