FY 22-23 ELO-P Apportionment Rates Posted

The California Department of Education (CDE) has posted its preliminary apportionments for fiscal year 2022-23 (FY 22-23).
This includes preliminary funding rates and information for various programs including the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P):

Rate 1 (UPP* greater than or equal to 75.00%): $2,750 (final rate for FY 22-23)
- Funding Calculation: Rate 1, times 2021–22 P-2 reported classroom-based ADA in grades kindergarten through grade 6 (TK/K–6), multiplied by 2021–22 P-2 UPP.

Rate 2** (UPP less than or equal to
74.99%):
approx. $2,052.71 (preliminary rate
for FY 22-23)
- Funding Calculation: Rate 2, times 2021–22 P-2 reported classroom-based ADA in grades TK/K–6, multiplied by 2021–22 P-2 UPP.
*UPP – Unduplicated Pupil Percentage
** Rate 2 is calculated based on the amount of funds remaining from the appropriation in the budget item, after the amount allocated to Rate 1 LEAs, and is subject to change at P-1 and P-2 as a result of LEA funding adjustments described in ECSection 46120(d)(4).
