Incorporating Social and Emotional Learning in Public Schools
The Aspen Institute’s released the report Integrating Social, Emotional, and Academic Development (SEAD): An Action Guide for School Leadership Teams as a follow up to From a Nation at Risk to a Nation at Hope.
This report is targeted to help leadership teams integrate social-emotional learning into the school day of every student, the guide covers foundational research, equity implications, guiding questions, and high-impact actions.
Engaging students with rich academic content creates opportunities for students to develop knowledge, skills, and social and emotional competencies. Supporting SEAD in schools will meet the equity mission of public education.
