The National Equity Project discusses the importance of SEL in building educational equity and creating inclusivity. The article also presents a chart that highlights the several pitfalls and recommendations for educators seeking to implement SEL to make progress on equity and inclusion. In addition, the article prioritizes six steps that are aimed at developing the social emotional and academic development (SEAD) of students to advance educational equity.
