Fall 2024 ELO-P Academy promo with workshop topics The California AfterSchool Network, in partnership with the California Department of Education’s Expanded Learning Division, co-hosted the Fall 2024 Expanded Learning Opportunities Program Academy: Building Quality Expanded Learning Programs!

This multi-day virtual convening of workshops was designed to support our District, School, and Community Partner practitioners with the design and continued implementation of the CA Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. Participants had the opportunity to connect, learn, strengthen, and hear promising practices from our ELO-P community. Each day, we focused on one specific topic of ELO-P based on the field’s overall need to continue building Quality Expanded Learning Programs.

Fall 2024 ELO-P Academy Details & Resources

Day 1: Wed., 9/11

Topic: From Policy to Practice: Supporting Quality in Expanded Learning Programs

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Registration has closed)

Description: Promoting Quality and compliance with a brief review of ELO-P Nuts & Bolts, updates, and highlighting promising practices from the field.

This 2-hour workshop session included a presentation on the topic and opportunities to engage with participants.

Topic: Inclusive Expanded Learning Environments

Description: This workshop will focus on inclusion and belonging in Expanded Learning programs.
